Senior Counsel

Stuart has a vast degree of experience in all areas of family law including relationship property, spousal maintenance, domestic violence, care of children and family protection. He is experienced in giving advice in organising assets to minimise the risk of potential relationship property claims. Stuart is Chairman of Family Courts Assn, Convener of the Family Law Committee, Auckland District Law Society. He has acted in many high profile cases. He has appeared on both television, radio, and other social media.

AMY MALONE

Barrister

Amy joined Surrey Chambers in July 2016 after five years as an associate in a national law firm. With over 15 year's experience, advising clients on relationship property, care of children, domestic violence and estate litigation, with specific focus on mediation, court proceedings, contracting out agreements ("pre-nups"). Amy ensures she continues with her education through regular attendance at family law conferences and seminars to ensure that she is at the cutting edge of any new developments in the law.

SHONA CHRISTIE

Legal Assistant

Shona is an experienced legal secretary with 30 years experience in law, specifically relationship property.

She worked for a Queens Counsel for over ten years before joining Surrey Chambers in April 2022. Shona assists both Stuart and Amy, and is the first point of contact for clients.

Shona is available to communicate with clients any time they may not be available.
